Wire locking

The Wire locking feature is used to lock certain wires, to avoid unintentional renumbering of them. This may for example be useful for parts of a project, where the design phase is finished, and the physical implementation has started.

 

The only way to renumber wires that are locked, is to first unlock them.

 

Please note, that it may be helpful to be aware of some of the limitations that are associated with this feature. The locks are stored in the project, but not in the circuit diagrams. Therefore, if you for example copy circuit diagrams to another project, the same wires there will not be locked.

The commands that are used to manage wire locking are activated with four buttons in the Wire locking section, shown in the figure above.

 

Those four buttons are described in the sub-topics that are listed below.
