Add/Edit series dialogue

You can enter the Add/edit series dialogue for one of two reasons. Either you are creating a new series, or you are editing an existing one. In both cases, the dialogue look like shown in the figure below.

Each series has a name, a start value, and a step.

 

Additionally, the series has a current position within the series. That position consists of one of the values in the series, as defined by the Start value and the Step, together with the information of whether that value is IN or OUT.

 

Example:

 

We have a simple series starting with 1 and step 1. It counts 1, 2, 3 and so on.

 

When you start manual wire-numbering using the series, the current value (the Next number) is 1, which is an OUT-value.

 

When you have inserted the first wire-number symbol, and continue with the next one, the Next number will still be 1, but that will be an IN-value. After that, the next number will be 2, which will be an OUT-value, and so on.
