When you have made all desired specifications or changes in the Contact dialogue box, you click the OK button. What happens then depends on the way that you entered the dialogue.

If you are in the process of defining a new I/O, you will be asked to insert the function object for that I/O.  All details about this are described in a separate topic named Insert function object for I/O. Please use the link to that sub-topic.

If - on the other hand - you are simply adjusting an existing I/O, so that you have double-clicked an existing function object, no additional questions will be asked when you exit with OK. You simply exit the dialogue, and the changes that you have made in the dialogue, are transferred to the function object.
