The Settings tab

The settings that are used for SilentPDF are very similar to the ones used for QuickPDF. For example, Extended layer settings and Logotype settings are created using the QuickPDF feature.

 

Please therefore refer to the documentation of the QuickPDF feature for a detailed description of the settings.

Setting

Description

Content of PDF

Specifies which directory the DXF files that will be part of the PDF file are located in, typically SOURCE for circuit diagrams and similar

 

Directory to place generated PDF file in

 

Where the generated PDF file should be placed

 

Plot style table (pen assignments)

The Plot style table (a CTB file) defines line widths and colours in the generated PDF file.

 

Font name

The original font file used in the drawing sheets can be replaced when the PDF file is generated in order to achieve searchability.

 

Layer setting

A standard layer setting can be applied when the PDF is generated.

 

Extended layer settings name

When available standard layer settings do not fit your needs, user defined layer settings can be added.

 

Logotype setting name

A Logotype setting allows blocks to be inserted during PDF generation, for example to support customer specific logotypes.
