This sub-topic describes how changes to wire-numbers are performed.

 

There are several ways available. Some of them are referred to as automatic, some of them as manual. The distinction between the two is not entirely unambiguous. Therefore, all possible ways of defining new numbers for wires are discussed here, one by one.
