The simplified terminal symbol dialogue is presented for all terminals except the first one, when multiple terminals are inserted, and you have selected not to make a Fast insert. It is also presented when editing existing terminals, in the case where both terminal group name and index are empty. Normally, that is the case for all terminals in a terminal group except the first one, when the inheritance feature is used. That behaviour when editing is therefore consistent with what happened when the terminal was once inserted.

The simplified terminal symbol dialogue, which is shown in the figure above, presents the terminal number and the internal/external sides of the current terminal. You can easily adjust both, and then click OK to get to the next terminal if you are inserting new terminals, or simply exit the dialogue, if you are editing an existing one.
It is also possible to access the complete dialogue with which you for instance can specify a different terminal group name or index. That is done using the Detailed dialogue... button.
