Settings for automatic item designation generation…

The Settings for automatic item designation generation... command is, among other places, found in the Alternatives panel of the Tools tab in the ribbon menu, as shown in the figure below.

This is a “short-cut” to the project parameters that control the automatic item designation generation, which can be made automatically when inserting main symbols in circuit diagrams, and in some other situations as well.

 

A specially designed dialogue box, as shown in the figure below, gives access to the set of project parameters that controls this functionality. This means that you can alter these settings when needed, without having to exit the Drawing Environment to access them from the Project Module.

In the dialogue box, you will find no less than eight check-boxes that control features more or less related to automatic item designation generation.
