When editing a group of symbols, like for instance when inserting a sub-circuit or when copying several symbols at the same time, this parameter comes in to play.

If the group of symbols that is edited, for instance a sub-circuit, contains both main and help symbols with the same item designation, a question is asked if the item designations of the help symbols should be changed in the same way as the item designation of the main symbols.

If this parameter is deactivated, no question is asked. The change is done automatically.

If this parameter is activated, the question is asked and you will get an opportunity to choose what you would like to do, each time.

Please note that the main symbol dialogues will always be displayed before the dialogues for help symbols, when a group of symbols is edited, like described here.
