Node name or Node number is a designation for an entire node. It refers to the same property as the Node number that can be specified in property symbols.
The node name therefore normally have a range that covers an entire node. However, by using the wire-number symbol, it is in fact possible to specify node name separately for each wire. In most cases, that will defy logic. Doing so is therefore definitely not recommended, even if it in fact works fine in the software.
There are two possible ways of defining the node name. Both methods are described below.
▪A Node number can be defined in a property symbol.
▪A Node name can also be specified in a wire-number symbol. Node name and node number refers to the same property.
The wire-number symbol has priority over the property symbol.
▪The Node number that is specified in the property symbol is valid for all wires within the node. Please refer to the Property symbol topic.
▪A Node name that is specified in a wire-number symbol, is valid for one single wire only. To define node names for different wires within the same node defies logic, so you should avoid that.
