Example of how recundancy reduction works

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

You have chosen the following item designation composition for conventional devices:

=Plant +Location -Component_type Counting_number

This results in the following item designation for a contactor:

=A1+E1-K1

In the upper left corner of the drawing frame, you have a specification of function (plant), and location.

Plant:        =A1

Location:        +E1

Its is therefore possible to only specify the item designation as -K1 for the symbol of the contactor. The complete item designation is still made clear using the information from the title field.

If, for example, the complete item designation is specified as =A1+E1-K1 in the dialogue for the symbol in question, that would automatically be reduced to only -K1, if redundancy reduction were activated for Plant and Location.
