Resource groups containing resource groups

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

Resource groups can be present in many levels. A resource group may be part of other resource groups, which in their turn can consist of several resource groups. In the lowest level there are, however, only single resources, for obvious reasons.

Such a level division is allowed in cadett ELSA if it does not contain any unreasonableness, such as a cyclic reference where a resource group directly or indirectly contains itself.

In the device list in Dynamic OnLine I you can, however, not see this level division, and you have no reason or usage for it either. Instead, below the uppermost resource group, all the single resources which are part of this resource group are shown, no matter how many levels of resource groups you have between the top resource group and these single resources.

For more details about resource groups, you are referred to the description in the Catalogue topic. More specifically you find the explanation here (please refer to Resource type in the table).
