The Alias feature

The Alias feature for multi-terminals makes it possible to associate multi-terminal definitions with certain terminal groups.

 

The terminal group may be defined by its complete terminal group name divided in Function/plant, Location, and the Reduced terminal group name. Please note that Product/circuit and Function/additional item designation block as part of the Alias definition are not supported. It is also possible to leave for example Function/plant, Location or both empty to get a general alias.

 

Such an Alias consists of Function/plant, Location, Reduced terminal group name, and an associated multi-terminal definition. Inserting a multi-terminal with such an Alias selected, will not only result in that particular multi-terminal definition being used, but also the terminal group name automatically filled in. Please note however, that the related functionality is somewhat primitive, meaning that a manual overview is required, and that not all corner cases are covered.
