A check box to the left of the Ok button, gives you the opportunity to control whether or not the current sheet should be saved before opening the sheet to which you shift.

 

Please note that saving is made “intelligently”, meaning that an actual save is made only if the current sheet has been altered in any way. This means that if you have not made any changes, it does not matter if you have checked this feature or not. On the other hand, if you have made changes, the difference is however huge. If not checked, all changes to the current sheet will be discarded, which of course sometimes is exactly what you want. If checked, all changes to the current sheet will be saved.
