Preparing a project for Elprocad conversion

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

The first step in converting Elprocad drawings to cadett ELSA is to create a project in which you can perform the entire procedure.

When creating that project, there are a number of important circumstances to consider, among them the following:

1.Please note the search path for the SOURCE directory of the project, since you must copy the original Elprocad DWG files to that directory manually.

2.The item designation composition and other project parameters related to the item designations must match the content of the drawings.

3.The file name length must match the original DWG files. At least, it must not be shorter. If it is, you need to either rename the DWG files, or adjust the project parameters and the mask file.

4.The layer settings of the project parameters must match the layers of electrical symbols and lines in the original DWG files.

When you have prepared a project for the Elprocad conversion that is going to take place, you can continue by copying the original DWG files to the project. Please refer to the topic that is listed below, which describes that step, and refers you further in the process after that.
