New wire-numbers with existing wiring sequence

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

One way of doing a renumbering of the wires, is to give them new numbers while keeping the wiring sequence. In other words, the wires connect the connection points in the same order, but those wires will be given new numbers. Any manual changes that you have made to the wiring sequence, will remain. In that way, you can for example get rid of gaps in the numbering.

A renumbering of this kind is done by simply activating Overwrite unlocked, which you will find in the Wire-numbering section.

You can then number either Selected wires, or All wires, using one of the two buttons in the same section.

Please do not forget to uncheck Overwrite unlocked afterwards, thereby reducing the risk of tragic mistakes the next time you wish to do a renumbering of the conventional kind.

Any locked wires that you may have in your wire-list, will not be affected by a renumbering of the described kind. Please refer to the Wire locking topic.
