Inserting terminals using automatic terminal numbering

A dialogue box, as the one in the figure below, appears when you are inserting terminals using the Terminal command found in the Symbol Insert Tool.

You select to perform an Automatic Terminal Numbering by checking Number by algorithm.

 

Specify the Terminal group name in the Term.gr.name field . Then press <RETURN>.

 

If a suitable algorithm has already been assigned to the terminal group in question, the next unoccupied terminal number will automatically be suggested. If you are inserting multiple terminals, they will all be numbered automatically and OnLine, all of them with the next unoccupied terminal number according to the assigned algorithm. Any already existing terminals in the terminal group will be considered.

 

If no assignment has been made for the terminal group in question, you may create one directly. In the sub-topic that is listed below, an example of that is described.
