To be able to access the license server from workstations within the LAN, the port that is used must be open for that communication. Therefore, you might in some rare cases need to configure the firewall on the workstation to enable this access, using an “Outbound Rule” for TCP Ports 1280 and 27000 – 27009 within the domain. To make that configuration, administrator rights are needed.

 

Please note that the need to alter firewall configurations on the workstations is rare. In most cases it is not needed.

 

Technical note

If you are using any standard Autodesk products on the same workstation and need to communicate with a license server for them as well, you might need to open port 2080 for that purpose. Solo eXs 2022 typically uses port 1180, which therefore also might need to be opened.
