To delete an Alias definition, please start by invoking the Multi-terminal macro from the a - Terminals Resource category in the Symbol Insert Tool.
The following prompt is then displayed at the command line:
Select function Select/Alias/Insert/<eXit>:
Enter A for Alias.
The next prompt will be the following:
Select alias function View/deFine/Delete/<eXit>:
With the letters V, F, D, and X, you can start the four following functions:
Letter to type |
Invoked function |
|---|---|
V |
View currently defined aliases |
F |
DeFine a new alias |
D |
Delete an existing alias |
X |
eXit the alias feature |
Please note that when using German or Swedish language setting, other letters will be used for the same purposes.
A good start may be to View the current settings, so that you make sure that you do not delete the wrong Alias definition.
Thereafter, when you are sure of which Alias to Delete, you enter D for Delete as shown below.
Select function Select/Alias/Insert/<eXit>: A
Select alias function View/deFine/Delete/<eXit>: V
1. =A1 +S1 -X5 (My own multi-terminal definition no. 1)
2. =A1 +S1 -X6 (My own multi-terminal definition no. 2)
Select alias function View/deFine/Delete/<eXit>: D
2. =A1 +S1 -X5 (My own multi-terminal definition no. 2)
Delete alias definition 1 - 2: 2
Select alias function View/deFine/Delete/<eXit>: <RETURN>
Select function Select/Alias/Insert/<eXit>: <RETURN>
The input made by the user is coloured red above.
When you select V for View, a list of the currently available alias definitions is presented. In the example above, there are two such definitions.
You select one of them to be deleted by entering the associated number. In the example above, that is 2.
Thereafter, you can eXit the Alias feature by entering X or simply by pressing the <RETURN> key.
Finally, you can eXit the multi-terminal macro all together with X or <RETURN> once more.
