Complete renumbering with nothing kept

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

In some cases, you might want to redo the wire-numbering completely, thereby getting rid even of all existing wire-number symbols, including any adjustments of wire-number positions that you might have made. An example of this is if you have a lot of wire-number symbols placed incorrectly, meaning not on connection points of symbols. In that case, you might save time by simply deleting all existing wire-number symbols, and then insert new ones. The alternative would be to manually find all the errors and correct them, which could entail extensive research work.

Completely deleting wire-number symbols from drawing sheets cannot be done directly in the Wire-list Editor. The most effective way of doing it is instead with the Script Generator. A standard script sequence named 0DEL_CON_SYM_Q is available for the purpose.

The procedure to make a complete renumbering with new wire-number symbols is therefore as follows:

1.In the Script Generator, run the 0DEL_CON_SYM_Q script sequence for all drawing sheets in the SOURCE directory.

2.With the Wire-list Editor, make a new wire-numbering, for example using the All wires button in the Wire-numbering section.

3.Save the wire-numbers to the drawing sheets, using the Apply button.
