If you check Item designation (cables), the item designations of all cables in the entire project will be listed.

 

Below every item designation, you will find all cable symbols belonging to it. That will be a cable main symbol, and the cable help symbols that belong to it. Cable help symbols are in most cases, but not always, the same as cable core symbols.

 

Please be careful with item designations of cables. If you change the item designation of only one of the symbols, that symbol will lose its connection to the rest of the cable, meaning with all symbols belonging to the cable, which typically are the other cores of the same cable.

 

Therefore, make sure that you activate Change in all with the same item designation when you change the item designation of a cable.

 

When you have selected a specific symbol, all its data is presented in the right part of the screen, and you can even edit attribute related data. This is described in sub-topics Editing of general attributes and Editing item designation.
