Circuit designations are used either for the circuit aspect within instrumentation, or for the product aspect according to IEC1346. If you have such designations in your project, you can navigate with them as well.

 

When you have selected a specific symbol, all its data is presented in the right part of the screen, and you can even edit attribute related data. This is described in sub-topics Editing of general attributes and Editing item designation.

 

So, this alternative works in a similar way as the Plant alternative. Please therefore refer to the Plant sub-topic.
