Super project

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

A super project is a container for sub-projects.

If you define a project as a super project using this check-box, it will turn into a super project. A super project can not contain active drawing sheets. The SOURCE directory in the Drawing Manager is therefore disabled in super projects.

The technology of super projects is intended to be used for very large projects, where it is impractical or even impossible to put all drawing sheets in one single project. It could for example be a documentation of a complete industrial plant covering thousands of drawing sheets.

The technical limit for a single project in cadett ELSA lies somewhere between 1000 and 1500 drawing sheets. However, when exceeding approximately 500-600 sheets, it might be a good idea to consider splitting the project.

cadett ELSA Professional offers limited super project support.

cadett ELSA Enterprise offers full support for super projects.

Super projects, and related subjects, are covered in a separate topic named Super projects.
