FMT forms without graphics

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

You can create simple FMT forms without graphics using Notepad or other similar programs.

In such cases, it is advisable to use ANSI character code in the report definition.

Use a fixed-width typeface such as Courier or Lucida Console.

The file type of the completed form must be .FMT. Please note that Notepad by default adds .txt to the end of file names. To take control of the file type yourself, you can reconfigure your Windows File Explorer, to not hide the extensions for known file types.

If you choose to call your form for example, TEST.FMT, it can result in a file named TEST.FMT.txt. If you encounter that wormwood, you can rename the file manually using Windows File Explorer. Doing so is much easier if you reconfigure Windows File Explorer as described above.

FMT forms must be placed in the directory \ELSA\II\REPORTS\FMT.
