Dynamic OnLine I is a direct application of the PDS and its ActiveX interfaces, which are described in the Introduction topic.

The main principle is that Dynamic OnLine I collects its information from PDS and the catalogue. The information is formatted and processed so that it is suitable for presentation on the screen, where you as a user can view the information, print it, and make changes to it.

The changes you perform in Dynamic OnLine are transferred back through the PDS interface to the circuit diagrams, which are updated automatically by the OnLine Engine. This information transfer is generally performed automatically, without you needing to request it. There is, however, an exception from this, namely wire lists, where the transfer is performed on request.
