Change sequence / adjust filename

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

If you have a need to change the order between drawing sheets, you can do that in several ways.

One of them is using Cut and Paste or Paste between.

Another is by changing the file name of individual drawing sheets.

The latter method is described here.

Let us assume that you have five drawing sheets with sheet numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Sheet number 3 should be last in the sequence.

You can do that by manually changing the file name of that drawing sheet in the Filename column of the survey. Please be careful to keep the format of the filename, and make sure that the sheet number at the end is the desired one, for example number 6. The number of characters must be the same, and the positions of the filename should remain unchanged.

What used to be sheet number 3 will then have sheet number 6 and suddenly end up last with the file name EFS______006 and sheet number 6.

After resorting the drawing sheets, for example by clicking the Filename header twice, the survey will look like this:

EFS______001

EFS______002

EFS______004

EFS______005

EFS______006

This will of course result in a gap between sheets number 2 and 4. If you want to get rid of that, you can use the Renumber drawing sheets… command, which is available in the Module pull-down menu.
