Refresh symbol view

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

A button in the upper left corner of the Symbol Insert Tool is used to refresh the Symbol and resource view (the lower view where the symbols are displayed).

Such a refresh is made automatically each time you switch from one resource category to another. If you want to refresh the view without switching to another category and back, you can do that using the Refresh button.

A typical situation where it might be useful to force a refresh in that way, is when you have created a new symbol with the Symbol Generator, and you want to test it. Another such situation is if you have updated thumbnails using the Script Generator, and you want to check the result. A third example is if another user has created a symbol that you want to view.
