Activate attribute mirroring for item designations, which means that when you change the item designation in the main symbol, the help symbols will automatically and directly follow. This technique is very practical and is therefore highly recommended. However, it requires some caution when it comes to conflicts with multiple main symbols having the same item designation. Besides from that, it only has benefits.

 

Please note, that if you use attribute mirroring for item designations, and avoid conflicts between main symbols, you do not need the other three methods that are described here, in most cases. When a mistake has been made, they might however come in handy.
