Even though a newer more powerful feature for generation of External Connection Diagrams - the KABGRAF III - is now included in cadett ELSA, the older KABGRAF II that is documented here, still finds its use. It is based on a different principle than the new generator.

 

When KABGRAF II was introduced many years ago, the possibility to control the appearance of the External Connection Diagram was heavily extended compared to the older KABGRAF I, which was the predecessor of the functionality that is discussed here. Support was also added for a large number of circumstances that KABGRAF I did not support, like links, spare cores and spare terminals, just to mention a few from a long list.
