Figure 1838: Here, you define to which degree the function designation (plant) should be included in the definition of numbering areas.
"Function (plant)" here refers to the part of item designations which is normally specified with an equal sign ("="), and which are typically stored in the ANLAGEI attribute of cadett ELSA symbols, in the ANLAGE block in the upper left corner of the drawing frame, or in a boundary box.
If it is a good idea or not to include the function designation in the definition of numbering areas, depends on the overall project structure. Please refer to the General orientation about numbering areas topic for a further explanation about that.
You have six options to select from, all of them described in the table below.
Option |
Description |
---|---|
Not included |
The definition of numbering areas will not take function designations into consideration at all. The numbering areas can for example be completely based on location designations.
|
0 - All levels |
The function designation (plant) in its entirety is included in the definition of numbering areas.
|
1 - The first level only |
The first level of the function designation, counted from left to right, is included in the numbering area definition. Any lower levels, if they exist, are not included.
|
2 - The two first levels only |
The two first levels of the function designation, counted from left to right, are included in the numbering area definition. Any levels lower than that, if they exist, are not included.
|
3 - The three first levels only |
The three first levels of the function designation, counted from left to right, are included in the numbering area definition. Any levels lower than that, if they exist, are not included.
|
4 - The four first levels only |
The four first levels of the function designation, counted from left to right, are included in the numbering area definition. Any levels lower than that, if they exist, are not included.
