An important IEC standard in this context is the IEC1355, which defines so-called Document kind Classification Codes (previously referred to as Document Class Codes). The abbreviation in both cases is "DCC". To base the document codes in the Drawing Manager on the DCC codes of IEC1355 is often a good idea. The sample projects in recent versions of cadett ELSA are for example made that way.

The IEC1355 standard and a couple of implementations of it in cadett ELSA, is described in a separate sub-topic named Document kind Classification Codes according to IEC1355.
