Additional main symbol

An additional symbol is used to add a device to the device list, when there is no corresponding circuit diagram or cabinet layout symbol present in the project. The graphics of the additional symbol is placed in the INDEX layer, which makes the symbol visible when working with the design, but invisible in the final documentation.

 

There are two standard additional symbols available, as you can see in the figure below. One is a help symbol, and one is a main symbol.

The Additional main symbol is used to add a separate device, meaning a device that does not already have an associated main symbol in the project. A unique item designation should therefore be used in the additional main symbol.

 

The Additional main symbol may be placed anywhere you find convenient.
