Manual collection

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

For Dynamic OnLine I to perform a collection on request, you click on the Collect button in the toolbar in the lower part of the screen. When you have done so, Dynamic OnLine I will acquire the necessary information from PDS and, in the cases where it is needed, acquire additional information from among others the catalogue, and perform the needed calculations.

There can be two separate reasons that require a manual collection in Dynamic OnLine I:

1.No information is shown in the list since an automatic collection has not been performed.

2.The information shown on the screen is not completely updated.

The first case occurs when you activate Dynamic OnLine I and the alternative Automatic collect is deactivated. Please refer to the Automatic collect sub-topic.

The second case occurs as soon as you have made a collection, either automatically or manually, and you thereafter perform a change to the project i.e., through the Drawing Environment. To avoid unnecessary waiting, the list will not be updated automatically in these cases. Instead, an icon in the lower right corner will indicate that a change has been made to the project, and that these changes currently are unknown to Dynamic OnLine I. How the icon looks like, is shown in the figure below.

The list is not completely up to date when this icon is shown. For this not to result in any consequential errors, the list is locked in a read-only mode i.e., where no editing can be done.

If you wish to update the list, either to view the completely updated information, or to edit the list, you will need to collect. The collecting is done by clicking the Collect button in the toolbar.
