Here you can specify which part of the drawing sheet to include in the PDF. You have two options, which are both described in the table below.

Option

Description

Extents

The entire content of each drawing sheet will be reproduced in the PDF file. Under normal circumstances, this would result in the drawing frame filling up the entire “paper”, with a neat margin. However, if you for one reason or the other have objects outside of the frame, the entire content of the drawing sheet will be rescaled so that it fits the “paper”.

Limits

Limits” is the definition of the “paper edge” in any AutoCAD drawing. In a drawing sheet with a frame, like the normal case in cadett ELSA, the result of selecting Limits will be similar to selecting Extents. The difference comes if there are objects located outside of the defined limits. Such objects will not be reproduced with the Limits option, but will with Extents.

However, possible incorrectly specified limits could of course result in somewhat “surprising” results.
