In the Wire numbering section, you can control which kind of numbers the wires will get when performing an automatic wire numbering. In cadett ELSA, no less than eight connection types are defined. Four of them may be subject to wire numbering. Those eight connection types are described in the table below.

Connection type

Description

1

Wire between two connection points on the same device

2

Wire between two devices

3

Wire between a device and a terminal

4

Wire between two terminals

5

Cable core (legacy/compatibility)

6

First cable core of each cable

7

All but the first cable core of each cable

8

Spare cable core

In the four sub-sections that are contained within the Wire numbering section, you can specify for each one of connection types 1 - 4, how they should be numbered, for example by selecting a numbering series for each one of them.

Please note that it is possible to use the same numbering series for several connection types. These will then get connection numbers from the same numbering series.

In the sub-topics listed below, you will find descriptions of each sub-section.

Type 1: Within device

Type 2: Between devices

Type 3: Device-terminal

Type 4: Between terminals
