cadett ELSA offers the possibility to define an arbitrary number of user defined project parameters for any use that you see fit. Everything related to these user defined project parameters, both definitions and content, is found in the User defined project parameters tab.

Figure 274:  This example contains one user defined project parameter.

Figure 275:  In a project without any user defined project parameters, this tab is simply empty, like this.

The properties of user defined project parameters are defined by you. Those properties include such things as prompt, key and maximum length.

The values of these parameters are entered from the project parameter dialogue, in a similar way as you would do for standard project parameters. The behaviour of them is also similar to standard parameters. This means that when you create a new project using an existing one as prototype, the content of user defined project parameters is copied.

In fact, even the definitions of user defined project parameters are regarded as project parameters, meaning that the definition of which user defined project parameters you have is also copied, not only the content.

Basically, both the definitions of user defined project parameters, and the content of them are regarded as project parameters. This means that they are saved by project. Different projects may have different sets of user defined project parameters.

When you create a new project, any user defined project parameters of the prototype project you are using, are copied to the new project, in the same way as standard project parameters.

The content of user defined project parameters is edited in the same way as any other project parameter.

The definitions of user defined project parameters are created and edited using a button in the bottom of this tab. The button is labelled Definitions of user defined project parameters.

Please refer to the sub-topics that are listed below for detailed descriptions of all aspects of user defined project parameters.
