Text add symbols are help symbols with the function code (ART) ADDTXT.

 

These symbols are handled in a special way when user defined attributes are concerned.

 

Information in user defined attributes (as defined by USERATT.INI) in these symbols is handled as if it was located in the corresponding main symbol when report generation (TARGET databases) is concerned.

 

This reduces the need to add user defined attributes to symbols in general, since text add symbols can be used instead.
