The Settings 2 tab

Here you will find some report definition settings that did not fit anywhere else. These settings concerns what names generated files should have, where to save them, and whether they should be written in ASCII- or ANSI-format. The settings also concerns whether the generated files are to be printed, and if this is the case, on which printer and with which settings.

 

Some other functions are also available here. They are not directly related to the report definition, but they are within the domains of the Report Generator. These functions concern preparation of forms – the meaning of which will be described further on – and the fully editable declaration of report variables.

 

Below you will find a detailed description of all these alternatives, as well as a few others not mentioned above.

 

After entering the Settings 2 tab, you will be presented with a view similar to the one showed in the picture below.

As you may see, the settings are grouped in five sections, which are listed in the table below, with links to sub-topics with more detailed descriptions of the sections in question.

Forms and variable declaration

Variable declaration and DXF preparation are only partly connected to the report definition. Batch processing is used for customizations based on the Report Generator and for Excel reports.

Settings related to the previous tab.

 

DIN cable and terminal plans

Special settings for DIN terminal plans, which are a combination of terminal and cable lists created using the *X.DBF TARGET database.
