Report definitions in detail

This section contains a detailed description of all functions and available settings in the Report Generator.

The central notion in the report generator is – as stated by the previous text – the report definition. The report definition controls the generating process of the reports.

The report definition itself is stored in a text file with file type “.REP”, a so-called REP file (REPort definition file). A form with file type “.DXF” for DXF forms, or “.FMT” for text forms, is connected to the report definition.

There are three tabs in the report generator:

In the first tab – Report definitions – you will find a list with all available report definitions. Here you can open any report definition.

In the two other tabs – Settings 1 and Settings 2 – you can view the content of the opened report definition.

The sub-topics listed below describes the tabs and also how you exit them.
