As already mentioned, the device list in Dynamic OnLine I looks like a conventional device list summarised by item designation.

 

The similarity is not, however, complete. It differs on several important points. The reason for this is that the device list in Dynamic OnLine I serves other purposes than a device list in the final documentation.

 

Mainly, the presentation in Dynamic OnLine is cleared up for simple editing, which gives several interesting consequences, for instance resource groups, composite index, terminal groups and help symbols with index. This is all described in detail in the sub-topics that are listed below.
