Wear groups

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

The two sections that are shown in the figure below, contains the definitions that are needed for each wear group to calculate the need for spare parts. That calculation is the basis for creating ordering lists which take the need of spare parts into consideration .

The calculation basis for each wear group is specified both in PERCENT and in PIECES. The larger of the two values will be used.

Each resource in the Catalogue has a wear group assigned to it. An example of that is shown in the figure below.

The default for that wear group is defined for each resource category, as shown in the figure below.

There are nine pre-defined wear groups available. The descriptions of these wear groups are configurable in the Catalogue, through the Properties command in the Module pull-down menu, as shown in the figure below. Please refer to the Wear-groups sub-topic in the Catalogue topic, for a description of how you can adjust those descriptions.

In the two section of the Project parameters that are discussed above, you specify how to calculate the quantity of spare parts needed for devices belonging to each wear group. In the two sub-topics that are listed below, you will find descriptions of the details for the respective section.
