Symbol groups

A symbol group is used to connect different versions of the same symbol with one another. For an explanation of symbol versions as such, please refer to the previous subtopic, which is named Symbol versions.

A simple example is a vertical and a horizontal version of the same symbol. If these two versions belongs to the same group, meaning that the symbol group name is identical for both, some nice features will be available. For instance, it will be possible to toggle between the two versions when inserting the symbol with the Symbol Insert Tool. That is done by simply pressing the <SPACE> bar.
