Figure 375:  The "Separator character between levels" sub-section

In this sub-section, you can decide how different levels of function, location or product should be separated from one another.

Three options are available and described in the table below.

Option

Description

None

None means that no separator character will be used.

Same as corresponding part of item designation

Same as corresponding part of item designation means that equal sign will be used for function (plant) and plus sign for location if compulsory separator characters according to the standard are used. Please note however, that cadett ELSA allow other variants as well.

Other specified character

The third and final option is Other specified character. This means that a separate separator character will be used to distinguish the different levels from each other. The standard only allows dot here. In cadett ELSA you can use dot as the standard prescribes, or any another character.

Please refer to the Multiple level item designations topic, and also the sub-topic named Example of multiple level designations for a further explanation of all this.
