A Numbering algorithm is a series of numbers that you can link to a specific item. Such a numbering series can be used, for example, for cables where it defines the numbering of the cable cores. Another example is connectors where the numbering algorithm specifies the numbering of pins or sockets.

 

The figure above shows an example with a cable that has four cable cores. Please note that the Limit is therefore set to 4.
