Figure 1041: The "Plot style table (pen assignments)" section
In the Plot style table (pen assignments) section, you can select a CTB file and, below that, specify a font file.
•The font is discussed in a sub-topic named Font name.
•The CTB file selection is discussed below.
The Plot style table (a CTB file) defines line widths and colours. These definitions are managed in the PLOT dialogue of AutoCAD.
A few standard plot style tables are included at delivery of cadett ELSA. Those are described below. If you have a need to adjust line widths or colours, please do not change the standard plot style tables. If you do, your changes will be overwritten in updates. Instead, make a copy with another name and change that instead.

•The colours are different in the DIN5 symbol library from the IEC1082 symbol library. Therefore different plot style tables are needed.
•The line widths are different when reproducing an A3 on an A3 paper from when reproducing it on an A4 paper. Therefore different plot style tables are needed. The reason for this is that when scaling down the content of the drawing sheet, also the line widths must be scaled down with the same factor, to preserve readability.
•Colours in AutoCAD are generally used to define line widths and colours in the reproduction on paper or in a PDF file. In most cases, only black colour is used in the final representation, but original AutoCAD colours may also be used.
The question of the font used for the PDF generation is discussed in a sub-topic listed below.
