If a script sequence for some reason contains errors, in most cases the execution of it will stop.

 

Instead of returning to the Script Generator, you will remain in AutoCAD. An error message is then often visible in the command line of AutoCAD. The most common reason for a situation like that, is a misspelled command or too many or too few <RETURN>. The result of errors of that kind is that the script sequence “loses synchronisation” and you end up in a situation with “the right answer to the wrong question”.

 

To find out exactly what has happened you can press the <F2> key and review the exact sequence of actions, which occurred before AutoCAD stopped. When you in this way have discovered what has gone wrong, you can terminate the script sequence by pressing the <ESC> key once or twice. Thereafter you select the Exit command in AutoCAD. Be careful not to save the current drawing sheet. You will then return directly to the Script Generator where you can correct the script sequence. However, please notice that the script sequence at first is protected from editing. To open it you have to press the Edit button in the toolbar. Then press Save and retry the script sequence.
