A Script Sequence essentially consists of three parts:

1.A header

2.A main part

3.A footer

In the header the actions that the Script Generator should perform first, before it starts to go through the drawing sheets, are stated. This may for example include any needed initializations or similar.

The operations that are stated in the main part are performed once for each drawing sheet. Typically the main part starts by opening a drawing sheet and then does something with it. Finally, in most cases, the drawing sheet is saved.

The actions that should be performed after the Script Generator has gone through all the drawing sheets are stated in the footer. Usually the footer contains commands to quit AutoCAD, so that the process is stopped in a controlled manner.
