If you activate this feature - Show report dialogue (number of drawing sheets) - the Report Generator will stop when it has calculated how many sheets will be included in the finished report, before it starts creating these. You then have the option to cancel the operation before, in the worst case, you fill your hard drive with meaningless lubrication because of, for example, unreasonable sorting and page break settings.

 

If, on the other hand, you deactivate the function, you will avoid the mentioned interruption, which can be a relief especially in large projects as it can take a long time to get as far as the current dialogue box. It can then be a good idea for the Report Generator to carry out the complete report generation on its own, so that you can devote yourself to other things in the meantime.
