cadett ELSA contains a number of features to facilitate the use of cadett ELSA while travelling, meaning to continue using the software even when a connection to the server is limited or even absent.

 

The TRAVEL concept, as defined in cadett ELSA, means that a local installation of cadett ELSA is used to be able to work even with no connection to the server at all. Available TRAVEL features, facilitates doing so in several ways. Which of those features that are available, varies between cadett ELSA products.

 

 

Two major features are needed for travelling:

 

1.Creating and maintaining a working environment in the local installation that is compatible with the server installation

 

2.Checking out projects from the server and checking them in again when finished with the work

 

cadett ELSA Basic, LT and Professional offer limited support for both. In those products, it is possible with travelling, but it is not easy and it is not convenient.

 

cadett ELSA Enterprise is aimed at exactly the situation that TRAVEL is all about, namely a distributed way of working. Therefore, the most easy to use and most convenient TRAVEL solutions are available there, and only there.
