In the Terminal groups section, you control the handling of terminals in terminal groups.

 

So-called "numbering algorithms" are in many cases used to define the numbering of terminals. A numbering algorithm is a number series used to define the terminal numbers of the terminals that are expected to occur in a given terminal group.

 

Numbering algorithms are assigned to terminal groups to define both the total number of terminals within the terminal group, the numbers that those terminals should have and in which order they should be mounted.

 

These assignments can be used in many ways, for instance for automatic terminal numbering when circuit diagrams are created and to calculate spare terminals for both terminal lists and device lists.
