As an exercise and an example, we will here discuss two ways of creating a symbol for a “laser siren”, a figment of  imagination that however still gives you a good impression of how symbols for “real devices” are created.

The symbol should, when it is ready, look approximately as shown in the figure above. It should be defined as a conventional main symbol with both component type letter code and resource type H.
